A comprehensive transformation by BAZ Yacht Design. Exterior designed by Ginton Naval Architects and built by Mengi Yay Shipyard, North Star (formerly Extreme) underwent a complete refit under the design and technical supervision of BAZ Yacht Design. The scope of the project encompassed the full redesign of interiors, all exterior guest areas, and the structural design and installation of a brand-new hardtop.
Our objective was to retain the vessel’s original charm while enhancing her layout, comfort, and aesthetics to meet today’s standards of luxury cruising. We redefined the entire interior with a new spatial configuration and custom-crafted detailing, offering a contemporary yet warm atmosphere across all guest and crew areas. Carefully selected materials, improved lighting design, and updated AV systems created a sophisticated environment that remains connected to her sailing heritage.
On deck, all outdoor guest areas were reimagined for better functionality and flow, from the expansive aft lounge to the sunbathing and dining zones. A key highlight of the refit is the newly added hardtop, entirely designed and engineered by BAZ Yacht Design, providing shade and architectural coherence while integrating lighting and technical elements seamlessly. Our team also supervised its fabrication and installation. North Star now sails with renewed purpose, as a refined, balanced vessel where design integrity meets modern comfort.
